The Official HP TouchPad Release Date!

July 1, 2011 will be the official release of the HP TouchPad Wi-Fi version in the US and then followed by many countries days after. The TouchPad will be available in a 16GB version for $499 and a 32GB version. This device is unique because of its WebOS operation system.

The tablet features true multi-tasking with the apps staying open in card views. You can easily swipe between apps and also swipe them up and away when you are not using them. Synergy is a main function of WebOS that takes all your information and pulls it together. If you have a Gmail contact and Facebook contact that are the same, it will find them and match them together.

The TouchPad will also work well with other WebOS devices allowing you to take text messages from the tablet and even answer voice calls.

HP also plans to team up with AT&T to release a connected version later this summer.

iChromy: A Google Chrome Based App For iPad

iChromy for iPad is a really great app. It has a few features that makes me feel right at home. Chrome is the main browser that I use. Safari misses some things and iChromy makes up for those.

After spending just a few minutes with it here are the features I really enjoyed. From the very first time you open the app it feels like you are in Chrome. It has tabbed browser which is a must on any modern day browser. It also has the star in the top right corner that allows you to easily bookmark pages.

See video after the break.

Ode to Chad's iPad

This is Chad's iPad
He did not think it was a fad
Protected it with ZAGG
It fit very well in a bag
At work it brought him joy
As if he was a little boy
He put his boy in the car
Placing the iPad on top but not far
To his destination her arrived
At that moment he almost cried
Tracing back his drive
The iPad looked still alive
Leaping into traffic was his desire
Right before it was run over by a tire.

Help my friend. Auction ends soon. Ebay
Update: Auction Ended, let me know if you want to help him get a new one.

Steve Jobs Presents New Office

If you think your day job is just another job in another building it probably is, unless you work for Apple. Yesterday Steve Jobs presented a new office building to hold 12,000 employees in Cupertino. Steve is definitely the creator or jobs. This building will not just be the only location for Apple but it will be an addition too an existing office which will continue to hold 8,000 employees.

Now if you didn't know, Steve Jobs is the CEO of Apple Inc. and Apple is the creator of the iMac, Macbook, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, iPod Touch, iPhone, and the iPad. It looks like the Cupertino City Council is pretty star struck and to much in love to give any opposing vote.

10.1" ViewSonic gTablet for $269!

If you are really wanting a tablet but you are not ready to dish out the $499 for a brand new tablet here is your chance. The ViewSonic gTablet looks to be the undertaker in the tablet market. With a 10.1" screen, running Android 2.2, a 1.3mp front facing camera, 1GHz dual core processor, a 8-10 hour battery, Wi-Fi, 16GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot.

I can see this being a great tablet for around the house computing or for watching your media and using apps on the go. Woot.com has a great deal today on the ViewSonic gTablet for only $269. This is a brand new tablet and not refurbished like many of the electronics you may see on Woot. If you have not heard of Woot is a website that gives 1 deal a day. This is the deal for today, June 6, 2011, come tomorrow and the deal will be gone!

With Father's Day just around the corner this would be the tablet sure to please dad, or grandpa.

If you want to compare this to other tablets on the market make sure you visit my Ultimate Tablet Spec Guide to make sure you are getting the best tablet for your money. Be sure to buy quickly or it will be the missed opportunity for the perfect present.

Decisions, Decisions...

Ever since I have been able to accumulate enough money for my iPad I have been thinking about this purchase quite a bit. I would first like to thank all of you for all of your help to get to this point.
I have always had my eyes set on getting the iPad 2 first. It being one of the newest and most hyped tablet. It claims to be the thinnest and have the more tablet formatted apps than any device. While these are all great I would love to know what you would like to see the most.

There are few other tablets that I have been looking at that have great potential. What would you be most interested in seeing? Your input is greatly appreciated.

BeBook Live!

I have recently ran across a new tablet device that I think really has great potential. This device is run by Android and has a 7" screen. The BeBook Live is set out to be a great eReader that does more than show off pages of words. With a 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi, and a camera, this could really be the tablet that gets the job done for you!

I would love to be a reviewer for the BeBook Live. This magnificent eReader that has great potential. I really want to be the one that can answer all your questions about the BeBook. I feel there are so many tablets of this size that get over looked and left in the dust. This one will be sure to disappoint no one!
