Minute Review: BlackBerry PlayBook

The BlackBerry PlayBook is a very powerful little device. In this video I go over the main features that it has to offer. Some features I did not mention in the video is the ability to video chat with other PlayBooks and that you can also set up a bridge between your BlackBerry smartphone. This allows you to use the smartphones internet connection on the the PlayBook.

The PlayBook starts at $499 for the 16GB and $599 for the 32GB and $699 for the 64GB. BlackBerry is in the process of making an update to the OS that should be out in the next few months.  The update promises to be a big overhaul to the OS and add a full email client and the ability to play Android apps on the PlayBook.

Evernote for BlackBerry PlayBook now Available!

Today is a good day for PlayBook owners. The well known note taking app Evernote has just been released. In the app they have added some of the apps main functions such as creating and editing notes, searching, and sorting notes.

I will upload a first impressions video once I have sifted my way through all its features.

Taking a Screenshot on the BlackBerry Playbook

Screenshots are a simple but yet effective tool to use on many devices. I find them very helpful if I want to save information on a webpage and know I am going to be away from the internet. It also makes it very easy to retrieve the information from that photo gallery instead of booting up the browsers and navigating back to the page, that is if you can find it again.

On the PlayBook it is a very simple process to take a screenshot. All you need to do is press the volume up and volume down at the same time and you will hear the camera sound. The pictures can then be found under the photos app.

What do you use screenshots for?

How to Use Gestures on the BlackBerry PlayBook

With each new Operating System there are new ways developed to interact with the software. With a new OS on tablets developers can make it even more intuitive because you can use multi-finger functions and other intuitive ways like gestures. When you first use the BlackBerry PlayBook you will understand what I mean. In order to help you get started I made this video about how to use the gestures on the PlayBook so you will not be lost.

Visuals after the break.

Decisions, Decisions...

Ever since I have been able to accumulate enough money for my iPad I have been thinking about this purchase quite a bit. I would first like to thank all of you for all of your help to get to this point.
I have always had my eyes set on getting the iPad 2 first. It being one of the newest and most hyped tablet. It claims to be the thinnest and have the more tablet formatted apps than any device. While these are all great I would love to know what you would like to see the most.

There are few other tablets that I have been looking at that have great potential. What would you be most interested in seeing? Your input is greatly appreciated.

Close up camera test

This is just a quick video that I took with my Htc EVO of the BlackBerry PlayBook. I am pretty happy with they quality but it is hard to focus. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a low priced high resolution camera? Thanks.

Will this be your tablet or choice or will you stick with the first one to the market. Maybe you want to spend the same and get more screen real-estate. The great thing is you can choose whatever you can handle.

Sprint BlackBerry 4G PlayBook

Are you a BlackBerry fan? Do you love your phone and despise the iPad? The BlackBerry PlayBook might be just right for you. With a 7" display it packs a 1GHz dual-core processor that will surely impress. So far reviews have been that is is very fast and a great mutli-media device.

Weather you are a BlackBerry fan or not this looks like it is going to be a great tablet. Sprint has put up a page with its specs and a place for you to sign up for updates on release information. Rumors have it that this will be able to install Android Apps which could really make it a great product.
